Weirdest, Coolest Fabric Ever.

QUICK post .... while researching for IRN... aka hotel death... i came upon THIS:

SO WEIRD... but really cool..


soooo it's a fiber that researchers have made at MIT... aka “fibers that can detect and produce sound.” More musically, the MIT geniuses describe it as “fibers that can hear and sing."

You're probably wondering how this could be used???

“Applications could include clothes that are themselves sensitive microphones, for capturing speech or monitoring bodily functions, and tiny filaments that could measure blood flow in capillaries or pressure in the brain.”

yea. so... you can go back to trying to feel smart now...
