Holiday Decor... Kind of

It's that time of year where Pottery Barn's windows are decked out with red green and cream, with their signature linen sofas crowded with holiday crochet pillows and the bay has black and red buffalo print fit for the Christmas cottage of your dreams... if you wanted to redecorate your room for let's say.. four weeks...
All of this makes me miss home, and my mom's epic decorating details but on top of this.. makes me wish there was a balance between comfiness of the holidays, with the feminine, flouncy style I like to see in patterns and textiles... Enter this log home featured in Elle Decor this month... I knew it was fate when I was thinking about my cottage and how I'm not all for rustic but I do love a good purple velvet sofa..
